Our Values & Beliefs: |
Our Bible classes are God-centered in content. God and his will are the focal points of every lesson we present. |
Our Bible classes are Child-centered in presentation. We seek to present lessons, memory work, skills & drills that are age appropriate. |
Our Bible classes are creative, using many forms of teaching in an effort to effectively communicate the message of the Bible. Through songs, creative story-telling, games, puppets, videos, and joint class reviews and activities, we attempt to impress biblical lessons upon the hearts of our children. |
Our Bible classes have a balance between the impartation of Bible knowledge and the application of that knowledge. Teaching children Bible facts without teaching them how to apply those facts is inadequate. Likewise, trying to impress biblical applications upon our children without foundational knowledge of God’s word is also inadequate. Thus, we have tried to balance the impartation of Bible knowledge and the application of that knowledge (Nehemiah 8:8). |
We believe that children are a gift from God and should be handled with love and care (Psalm 127:3). |
We believe that God has entrusted parents with the primary responsibility to instruct their children (Ephesians 6:4), and the church is to assist the home in that task. |
We believe that teachers are held to a greater degree of accountability (James 3:1). Consequently, we utilize teachers who are committed to excellence and faithfulness. |
