Welcome to the website for the South Green St. church of Christ (Glasgow, KY).  We hope that you find our website helpful and informative as well as spiritually uplifting and challenging.  In an effort to achieve these goals, we have provided the following for your consideration:

  1. A Who We Are page that not only includes a drop down menu that directs you to a brief history of this congregation and brief bios about our current leaders (Elders, Deacons, Ministers, and Staff - this is currently experiencing technical problems), but also, when clicked, a statment about who we are and what we stand for, namely, the truth of the Bible and the Gospel it contains (this is in the process of being completed).
  2. A Weekly Encouragment page that displays, in digital form, the weekly articles that the Ministers of this congregation write for those who recieve our prinited newsletter every week.
  3. An Audio page that gives you access to sortable audio recordings of past sermons (dating back to October of 2011).
  4. A Links page where you can view and access a variety of other websites that we recommend to all who have a keen interest in the Bible.

If you are a member of this congregation, a further Members menu is available to you upon login.  This menu displays current announcments, prayer lists, supported mission works, an online directory, and the opportunity to download current and past newsletters.  See Jesse Wagner for login information.

Passage: James 4:8
Our hands say a lot about who we are as people in this life. But more than a physical indicator of how we live, they also indicate what kind of spiritual lives we live, whether they are dirty, empty, blood-stained, clean, or even nail-scarred. What do you hands say about you? What are they telling God?

In this lesson, part 4 of The Book of Revelation series, allow yourself to be challenged in this life to "enjoy" the following: (1) obedience, (2) worship, (3) a pure life, (4) service, (5) fellowship, and (6) divine protection. If we can enjoy these things in the here-and-now then we will be ready for Heaven. Why? Because these are the very things, according to Revelation 7, that we will be doing for eternity. Are you ready?!

Passage: Genesis 22
Tests and trials no one likes to go through. But, they can and do serve to be spiritually beneficial . . . as long as we pass them! Abraham went through some tough circumstances in his life, the kind that no one longs to experience, generally speaking. Yet, in each case, he came away with a renewed hope in and deeper love for God. Shall we not respond in the same way today?
Sunday, August 12, 2012
